We say that 1 scoop = both 45g and 50g. We tried different copy for this like "one heaped scoop" or "one slightly underfilled scoop" - but it got pretty comical! In the end we settled for this. The instructions say to add 2 scoops of H&S to the Huel pot and fill with hot water to the line. I found that 2 scoops is too much for me and I can't finish it all, but can't seem to get the consistency right with only 1 scoop (I obviously don't fill to the line). It's always too solid or ends up being a soup.

Our standard scoop is 70cc, which gives you about 36-40g, so generally approx. 3 scoops in 500-600mL of water is recommended.

Back of the bag says one scoop is 200kcal, but doesn't specify what the volume of one scoop is. Please don't tell me to "JuSt UsE a ScAlE, sCoOpS aRe InAcCuRaTe AnYwAy", I don't have a scale nor do I have any interest in weighing my Huel. I just want to know what the volume of a Huel scoop is.

Turns out the scoop supplied with Huel is 1/3 of a standard cup. So given that I use three Huel scoops, I can use the cup measure instead. 1 cup rather than 3 scoops.

A level scoop of Huel holds roughly ⅜ of a cup which is about 200 calories. Huel Black Edition has a slightly lighter weight per scoop (45g) compared to Huel Powder (50g) due to differences in density.
